Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women’s soccer team swept the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference’s weekly honors. Tori Singstock (Southgate, MI/Southgate Anderson) was named the Offensive Player of the Week and Jordan Roell (Guilford, IN/East Central) earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
The duo helped lead Tech to a 2-0 record last week, defeating a pair of conference opponents and extending the team’s winning streak to five straight.
Singstock scored a goal in each of the victories, running her season total to nine. The freshman forward leads the conference in that category and ranks second in the WHAC in points with 19.
Singstock has been on fire lately, scoring four times in her last three games and has the Warrior offense ranked at the top of the league. Tech is tied for the lead in goals with 36 this season and rank second in shots and shots on goal per game.
Roell received the honor for the second straight week. The junior goalkeeper made 19 saves during the week, including nine in Tech’s 3-2 win over Siena Heights University and 10 in a 3-1 victory at Aquinas College.
On the year, Roell is allowing 1.05 goals per game, which ranks third in the WHAC, and has a .831 save percentage.
The Warriors (10-2, 2-0) return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 3 when they host Cornerstone University beginning at 7 p.m.
