Fort Wayne, Ind. - Indiana Tech’s Tori Singstock (Southgate, Michigan/Southgate Anderson) has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Offensive Player of the Week for women’s soccer.
In the WHAC Tournament opener on Nov. 1, Singstock scored the game-tying goal in the 62nd minute against Concordia University as the Warriors came from behind to win 2-1 in overtime. She also scored two goals in a 3-1 victory over Aquinas College in the semifinals.
Singstock led the league in goals this season with 18 in her rookie campaign, which ranked 12th in the NAIA. The WHAC Offensive Player of the Year also added three assists to compile a total of 39 points, good enough for second in the WHAC. She also had five multi-goal games this season.
The Warriors (16-4, 8-2 WHAC) will take on No. 24 Davenport University in the WHAC Championship game on Nov. 9 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In their previous meeting, the Warriors fell to the Panthers 2-1. The championship game will begin at 7:00 p.m.
