Fort Wayne, Ind. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 492 women’s soccer student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
The Warriors had eight players recognized for their hard work in the classroom, the second most of any institution behind Graceland University’s nine.
Alexis Bader (Davison, MI/Davison) – Elementary Education
Manuela Cabal (Cali, Columbia/Colegio Bolivar) – Biomedical Engineering
Morgan Delagrange (New Haven, IN/Leo) – Business Administration
Rebecca Kurtz (Farmersville, OH/Valley View) – Energy Engineering
Traycie Linker (New Haven, IN/New Haven) – Criminal Justice
Kathryn Rettich (Germantown, OH/Valley View) – Business Administration
Jessica Sikula (Weston, OH/Bowling Green) – Biomedical Engineering
Natalie Zimmerman (Berkley, MI/Berkley) – Criminal Justice
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
