Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Indiana Tech Women’s Soccer team is proud to announce that Haley Heller (Bluffton, IN/Norwell HS) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer for the Warriors for the fall of 2013.
Heller, a 5-9 goalkeeper, is a four year varsity starter for the Knights and she has been the primary netminder on the Norwell defense. She was All-Northeast Hoosier Conference all four years at Norwell. She was named Best Mental Attitude Award in 2010 and 2012 for the Knights.
This past season, Heller was named team captain and led the Knights to the 2012 Sectional Championship. In addition, Heller has been involved with Campus Life and she was a member of the Fort Wayne Sport Club soccer program.
“It’s always difficult to find quality goalkeepers” said Warrior Head Coach Jim Lipocky, “We are fortunate that Haley has been playing here in the Fort Wayne area and I’ve had the pleasure to watch her play and see her develop as a player. She works hard and she is a nice fit for our program at Tech.”
