Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women’s soccer team is proud to announce that Tara Swanson (Royal Oak, MI/Royal Oak HS) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer for the Warriors for the fall of 2013.
Swanson, a 5-foot-6 defender, is a three year varsity starter for the Ravens and last year Royal Oak won the 2012 OAA league championship. She is a two-time OAA All-District and All-Division standout and recorded four goals and 15 assists last season.
In addition, Swanson is a member of the prestigious Michigan Hawks club soccer program and she recorded seven assists while playing for the Hawks.
“Tara is a great fit for our soccer program and Indiana Tech”, said Warrior Coach Jim Lipocky. “She is fantastic pushing forward from the outside back position and getting involved with the attack. She is also versatile enough to play wing. I love the way she serves the ball.”
