On Friday, Dec. 5, the 2008 Daktronics-NAIA Fall Scholar Athletes were announced for men's and women's soccer and volleyball and several student-athletes received this prestigious honor.  Representing men's soccer is junior Nathan Davidhizar (Goshen, IN) and for women's soccer, junior Ashley Mejia (Fort Wayne, IN).  Volleyball had several recipients including seniors Staci Stork (Kendallville, IN) and Laura Booker (Fort Wayne, IN) and junior Ashley Jenkins (Gahanna, OH).

In order to be selected for this honor you must meet the following requirements: the student-athlete must be a junior or above in academic standing and must be in attendance at the nominating institution a minimum of one full year.  In addition, the honoree must have a minimum grade point average of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale and has been certified as eligible.
