FORT WAYNE, IN- The Indiana Tech Women’s Soccer team is proud to announce that Emily Swanson (Oswego, IL) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Indiana Tech. The 5’7 midfielder/defender was a three year varsity starter for Oswego High School and Swanson has earned MVP Offense honors in 2007 and 2009 for the Panthers.
Swanson is a member of the U/18 Kickers Premier Soccer Club, currently ranked number 4 in the country. Swanson has also volunteered to coach soccer to children and she plans to study education while attending Tech.
“Emily will help us on defense but she has the ability to push forward and attack”, said Warrior Head Coach Jim Lipocky. “She plays for a very good club program and I feel fortunate we were able to add her to our program.”
