Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Indiana Tech softball team is proud to announce the signing of Courtney Simpson of Southwood High School in Wabash, Indiana.

Simpson is a three-year varsity letter winner in softball. She was named TRC Honorable Mention in 2011 and 2012 and was selected to the All-County Team in both years as well. Simpson also won the Best Hitter award following her 2011 season where she batted .355.

In addition to softball, Simpson also participated in golf and volleyball at Southwood. She was the golf team’s 2012 Mental Attitude award winner and made the TRC Academic Honorable Mention team in 2011.

“Courtney will fit well in our softball program,” said Warrior Head Coach Becky Norris. “She is a developing player who will grow in to a spot and improve our depth. We need depth in the outfield.”
