Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Indiana Tech softball program is proud to announce the signing of Prairie Heights High School senior shortstop Kayla Feeney.
Feeney, a three-sport athlete with the Panthers, also participated in volleyball and basketball, but her passion was in softball.
“It was definitely a goal to play college softball,” Feeney said in a story by The Herald Republican. “I found what college would work for me and Indiana Tech was definitely that.”
One of the top players in the area, Feeney is a three-time KPC Media Group All-Area selection as well as a three-time All-Northeast Corner Conference. In 2011, she hit .431 with four homeruns and 26 RBI. Following her breakout sophomore campaign, Feeney batted .375 with a homerun, five triples, 14 RBI, and 19 runs scored during her junior season.
While at Indiana Tech, Kayla plans to major in Accounting.
