3/26/09 – Indiana Tech Softball defeated Grace College Lancers in a doubleheader, 9-2 and 5-4.  The Warriors hammered the Lancers in the first game with 18 hits.  Leading the way was senior Mallory Harris (Greenfield, IN / Greenfield Central) going 4-4 with 3 RBI’s.  Freshman Callie Busch (Milford, MI / Milford) went 3-4 with 2 doubles and an RBI and freshman Casey Prince (Severn, MD / Mt. DeSales Academy) went 3-4 with a double, three runs and an RBI. Sophomore Samantha Simpson (Albion, MI / Albion) combined with junior Jessica Williams (Seattle, WA / Meadowdale) to limit the Lancers to three hits.  In the second game, Williams accounted for most of the runs, going 2-4 with a triple, a home run and 4 RBI’s.  In addition, Harris went 3-4 and sophomore Megan Millikin (New Lebanon, OH / Dixie) went 2-3 with an RBI.  Prince went 5 2/3 innings for her third win of the season and senior Brittany Miller (Spencerville, IN / Leo) recorded a save.  The Warriors will next play their first home game of the 2009 season at Memorial Park.  The doubleheader against Siena Hts. is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31^st at 4:00pm.
