FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The Indiana Tech Softball team and Head Coach Jessica Harris are proud to announce the signing of Rockford, Mich. native, Sidney Olejniczak for the 2014-15 season.
Olejniczak, a Pitcher\Utility player out of Rockford Senior High School is the definition of a student-athlete as she excels both on the field and in the classroom. She is a four time academic achievement letter recipient and played for one of Michigan’s top travel ball organizations, Michigan Elite. On her travel team she holds a career batting average of .357 and on-base percentage of 45 percent. While excelling in the classroom and on the softball field she still finds times for herself as she has volunteered as the Varsity Wrestling manager for the past three years.
"I am extremely excited to live my dream of being a college softball player at Indiana Tech,” said future Warrior Olejniczak. “The school and the program have everything I am looking for and I am excited to be a part of building a winning tradition for Tech's softball program."
She plans on attending Indiana Tech in the fall of 2014 and majoring in Psychology.
