Mobile, AL – The NAIA has recently announced that 96 men’s and 126 women’s tennis student-athletes have been honored as 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The Warriors had four players recognized for their hard work and dedication in the classroom: Adam Steury (Ft. Wayne, IN/Carroll), Craig Wassell (Ft. Wayne, IN/Northrop), Daniel Yamamoto (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Pueri Demos), and Kassie Barroquillo (Wolcottville, IN/Prairie Heights).
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
