Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Indiana Tech wrestling team came in at No. 16 in the postseason edition of the NAIA Wrestling Coaches’ Top 20 Poll, announced by the national office on Monday.

For the second straight year, the Warriors placed 16th at the NAIA National Championships in the team standings and had two wrestlers earn All-American status. Sophomore Travis Barroquillo claimed the honor for the second time in as many seasons by finishing in seventh place in the 133-lbs division while classmate Kris McKinley reached the podium for the first time with his seventh place finish at 125-lbs.

Barroquillo and McKinley were also ranked in the NAIA Wrestling Top-16 Individuals. Barroquillo slid three spots to No. 7 in his weight class while McKinley went from unranked all the way up to No. 7.

Tech’s 16th place finish at the national championships qualifies them for the National Dual Meet Championships next January.
