FORT WAYNE, IN- Alex Gregory of Penn High School (IN) has signed a letter of intent to wrestle for Indiana Tech.
Alex is a 3-time state qualifier in Indiana and a 2-time state medalist capping off his senior season with a (135#) 4th place finish at the IHSAA State Finals. He is projected to compete at 141# for the Warriors next season.
Alex will major in business and said he chose to come to Indiana Tech because he likes the small class sizes as well as he feels that it is “a good environment to achieve athletic success because of the high percentage of students who are athletes at Tech.” Alex says that it is his goal “to win multiple national championships as a team and an individual.”
Coach Ester says: “This is an awesome pick up for us in our light weights. Alex is an intense competitor that has a strong passion for the sport. His work ethic will carry him far in our room and raise the level of his teammates. We feel there is a very high ceiling of success and his best wrestling is yet to come as a college competitor.”
