Fort Wayne, IN – The Indiana Tech wrestling team is proud to announce the signing of Drake Meska from Jay County High School in Indiana.
Drake finished a strong senior campaign, capturing the IHSAA sectional, regional, and semi-state championships and qualifying for the state finals. He finished high school with 111 career wins.
“I chose to wrestle at Indiana Tech because the school is awesome, and I feel Coach Ester is one of the best in the country. I’ve talked to a lot of people and no one could say a bad thing about the coach or school,” said Drake. “I’m looking forward to wrestling college competition and getting better with the goal to be varsity the entire season and see how things progress up to going to the national championships.”
While at Tech, Drake plans to study criminal justice. “I like to help people, and in this field of study I can work to protect and serve the community,” he said.
Coach Ester says that, “Drake is a class act on and off the mat. We feel like he has yet to peak in his success. He is slightly under the radar coming on late in his high school career, but could make a name for himself at the college level if he commits to handle the hard work we put into our program.”
