RANKINGS | KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Indiana Tech wrestling team remained just outside the top-10, being ranked No. 11 in the first regular-season edition of the NAIA Wrestling Coaches’ Top 20 Poll, the national office announced on Wednesday.
The Warriors garnered 50 points thanks to placing five wrestlers within the top-eight of their respective weight classes, led by Kristopher McKinley who is ranked third at 125-pounds and is the top wrestler in the east region.
Travis Barroquillo (141), Adam Fahs (149), James Bennett (165) and Tanner Martin (174) join McKinley in the individual rankings with Martin and Fahs each ranked sixth and Barroquillo and Bennett each coming in eighth in their classes.
The Tech grapplers are 2-1 in duals this season, defeating 16th-ranked NCAA II Finlay and fellow NCAA Division II opponent Tiffin at the Eastern Michigan Duals this past weekend, their lone loss coming to NCAA Division I Ohio University.
The Orange and Black return to the mat on Saturday, Nov. 23 as they travel to Olivet, Mich. to take part in the Olivet Duals hosted by Olivet College.
