DES MOINES, Iowa – On Saturday, the ninth-ranked Indiana Tech wrestling team will be one of seventy-six college wrestling programs to compete in the 2014 NWCA Multi-Divisional National Duals presented by the United States Marine Corps and Hibiclens in honor of Cliff Keen.
The duals feature five different divisions with NCAA Division II, III, NJCAA and women joining the NAIA at the Iowa Events Center for ‘Mat Mayhem’ on Jan. 11.
The National Wrestling Coaches Association released the draws for the event on Wednesday and the Warriors will be seeded eighth and will face 19th-ranked Midland University in a battle of schools which started up within the last four years. The winner will face either top-seeded, two-time Duals and NAIA National Champions Grand View or Oklahoma City.
Twelve other schools will compete in the tournament, all ranked inside the NAIA Wrestling Coaches’ Top-20 Poll, except Oklahoma City who is currently receiving votes.
The Warriors open competition on mat 10 at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11. The event will be live scored at trackwrestling.com. The link can be found here.
