Fort Wayne, IN – The Indiana Tech wrestling team is proud to announce the signing of Brett Yarbrough from Henry County High School in McDonough, Georgia.
Brett’s accomplishments include being a 3-time Region Champ, 2-time Sectional Champ, 2-time All-State wrestler (2nd at 112 in 2010), and State Champ at 119 in 2011. Brett made the Honorable Mention list for USA Wrestling Magazines top seniors at 119.
While attending Tech, Brett’s goals are to become a NAIA National Champ and to obtain life skills from wrestling which will prepare him for his career. “I feel that Indiana Tech will enable me to achieve a large amount of success, both in wrestling and in life,” said Brett on why he chose Indiana Tech.
Coach Ester on signing Yarbrough: “It’s exciting for us to see our recruiting base branching out of the Midwest. We feel that Brett in one of the top prospects coming out of the state of Georgia as well as being highly acclaimed on a national level. We are getting a disciplined, hard working wrestler who has a great respect for what it takes to be successful in our sport and he carries that over to his life off the mat as well. He’s another tremendous addition to an already deep talent pool of lightweights that will be on the mat for the Warriors next season.”
Brett plans on studying Biomedical Engineering while at Indiana Tech.
