Fort Wayne, IN – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has released the first regular-season edition of the NAIA Wrestling Coaches’ Top 20 Poll and the Indiana Tech wrestling team is sitting just outside the top 20 in 22nd.
The Warrior wrestlers are off to a terrific start in their inaugural season, beginning with a stunning upset of then-3rd ranked Lindsey Wilson College in their debut. Tech has also had four grapplers qualify for the NAIA National Championships, including freshmen Andre Sanders (Farmington Hills, MI/Harrison), Travis Barroquillo (Wolcottville, IN/Prairie Heights), and Tanner Martin (Ft. Wayne, IN/Snider) and sophomore Dustin Boyd (Mishawaka, IN/Calumet). Barroquillo is Tech’s lone ranked wrestler, coming in at sixth at 133 pounds.
The Warriors return to action on December 2-3 when they travel to Crawfordsville, Indiana for the Indiana Little State Tournament at Wabash College.
