For Immediate Release
Fort Wayne, IN – The Indiana Tech wrestling program is proud to announce the signing of Indiana’s #3 ranked 195 lbs. wrestler Spencer Raypole from Carroll High School in Fort Wayne.
Spencer is returning for his senior season as a state place winner from a year ago, and has a goal of winning a state title. He is a great student and the son of head coach, Scott Raypole at Carroll.
“Spencer will bring a much needed punch to the top end of the Warrior wrestling line-up as we expect to get him on the weights this summer and build him into a solid 197# wrestler for us next year,” said Head Coach Mike Ester.
“I’m happy for Spencer and his family to keep his college wrestling career close to home,” Ester added. “Spencer comes from a close family with a strong upbringing. We continue to look for not only athletic success from this upcoming class, but quality people who will be diligent workers within our program. Right now we understand that in our wrestling program that ‘we get as our work deserves!’ We feel that Spencer will bring that attitude and brings a strong work ethic to the table and will be a very coachable athlete and successful student.”
Spencer will study computer engineering at Indiana Tech.
