Fort Wayne, Ind. – Indiana Tech Warrior Wrestling is proud to announce the signing of Connor Robinson of New Palestine High School. Connor was a two year team captain for the Dragons and capped off a tremendous high school career by claiming the runner-up spot at 160-pounds at the IHSAA state finals.
“Connor is a great young man with strong character and work ethic, who comes from a tradition rich wrestling family line,” said Indiana Tech head coach Mike Ester. “We feel he has only scratched the surface of his ability on the mat, and expect to see him make a rapid ascension in our program. Adding talent and toughness to our middle weight classes was a must for us and we feel that he’ll be in that mix for a spot in our line-up soon at 157/165-lbs.”
Connor says “I chose to attend Indiana Tech because I really like the campus and the people there. It is a perfect size school for me to succeed and to meet new people and accomplish my goals for later on in life beyond wrestling. I’m really interested working for a degree in Sports Management while wrestling, and my goals at Indiana Tech is succeed in my school work and to figure out what I can do that is meaningful later in life. I also want to succeed in wrestling and make a name for myself while I want to help the team out as much as I can in our goal of winning national championships to bring home to Tech.”
Connor also boasts a 118-27 four year high school record and is a one-time Indiana State Wrestling Association state champ, and a two-time ISWA runner-up.
