Meet the Coaches
Brad Winton
Head Coach

Winton played for the Warriors from 2002 to 2004 and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, sports management. He also was an assistant coach for the men’s basketball team from 2004 to 2006 and from 2007 to 2008.
In his most recent position, Winton led the Cleveland Rockers to a 22-4 record as the youngest active coach in the ABA. His coaching experience also includes a year as an assistant coach at Myers University in Cleveland and work at a variety of basketball camps including the UNC-Charlotte Basketball Camps, Brad Winton Basketball School, and Painesville Riverside Beaver Basketball Camp.
As a student-athlete at Indiana Tech, Winton was an NAIA Academic All-American and Academic All Conference player in the 2002-03 season and captain of the 2003-04 Warrior team that participated in the NAIA national tournament.
Dan Kline
Assistant Coach
Dan Kline will return to the court named in his honor as assistant coach for the Indiana Tech men’s basketball team in 2009. Kline retired as the university’s athletic director and vice president of student life in April 2008, and the court in the Schaefer Center gym was dedicated as Kline Court in September 2008.
Kline’s previous tenure at Indiana Tech spanned nearly 30 years. He originally joined Indiana Tech as athletic director and men’s basketball coach in 1980. Kline coached the men’s basketball team from 1980 to 1998. He returned to the court to coach the women’s team from 2004 to 2006.
Prior to joining Tech, Kline held multiple coaching and director positions at Stryker High School in Ohio. He has earned multiple Coach of the Year awards as well as special athletic awards over the span of his career. Kline was inducted into the Indiana Tech Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006.
