Indiana Tech ACHA Hockey Program
Below are frequently asked questions about our program:
What league does your team play in?
Indiana Tech Hockey participates in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) starting in the 2014-2015 season.
What are the requirements to play?
An undergraduate student must carry and pass at least 12 credits per semester and maintain a 2.0 g.p.a to be eligible to play.
What is provided by the team?
The team provides uniforms, bags, pants, gloves, helmets, team tape, and sticks. In addition, all travel to away games is by charter bus.
What kind of schedule do you play?
The team will play a 30-40 game schedule against the best competition in the ACHA. Away trips will include trips to Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State.
How often does the team skate, and where does the team skate out of?
The team will practice 2-3 times per week and play 2-3 games on weekends at Canlan Ice Arena in Fort Wayne, IN. Canlan is also the home practice ice of the Fort Wayne Komets ECHL team.
Are there any ice bills or player dues that must be paid to play?
No, Indiana Tech will not charge player fees to play hockey.
