Get to know Coach Nichter

Coach Nichter begins his fourth season with the Warriors after being selected by Indiana Tech to take on the title of Head Coach in June of 2008.

In 2012, Nichter followed up an impressive 2011 season by leading the Warriors to their second straight CCLA division championship, sweeping the Central division with a 4-0 record. He also guided Tech to its first postseason victory over #15 Hope College. The year prior, the Warriors had an 11 win season, going 11-3 overall and a division championship in Tech's first year as part of the CCLA. In the 2010 inaugural season, Nichter led Indiana Tech to a 10-5 record.

Terry Nichter joined the Bishop Luers Lacrosse Team his freshman year of high-school. He continued his devotion to the sport by going on to reconstruct the lacrosse team at Ball State University. Coach Nichter was Team Captain for three out of four years of his college career while achieving his Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management. After College he became Head Coach for Ball State University and held this title for two years before moving to Fort Wayne with his wife and pursuing a coaching position at Indiana Tech.

Coach Nichter is also a U.S. Lacrosse Certified Official and spends time every spring refereeing lacrosse games in Indiana. Coach Nichter’s experience, motivation, and devotion to the sport of lacrosse will help every recruit to reach their highest potential as a student athlete. Together, Coach Nichter and all of our lacrosse recruits will have the shared goal of creating a competitive and nationally recognized collegiate Lacrosse Program.

Bryan Seaman

Coach Bryan Seaman is originally from Peabody, Massachusetts. Coach Seaman has been playing and coaching lacrosse, from youth to college for the past sixteen years.

After graduating from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, Coach Seaman attended The Gunnery School in Washington, Connecticut as a post graduate student. Following his time at the Connecticut prep school, he attended Mount Ida College where he was team captain, majored in Sports Management, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Coach Seaman was then hired as a strength and conditioning coach at Gridiron Training, as well as Defensive Coordinator at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, Massachusetts.

The following year, Coach Seaman was brought on as Graduate Assistant Coach for Indiana Tech, and is studying Organizational Leadership. He is currently entering his second season with the program.

John Belote

Coach John Belote is originally from Florida and is new to the Indiana Tech coaching staff this year and works primarily with the goalies. He played goalie for the University of Tennessee and is the currently the head coach of Homestead High School Boys Lacrosse program, He has served in that position for the last four years, but has been with the Homestead Lacrosse program since its inception in 2005. Coach Belote was named Indiana High School Coach of the Year in 2006 and the program has won two State Consolation Tournaments.

Coach Belote has over 30 years of lacrosse experience and still participates in league play today. He has been an instructor at Bill Pilat’s The Goalie School, is a member and officer in the Indiana High School Lacrosse Association and is the Co-Founder of Summit City Lacrosse, which organizes leagues as well as middle school camps. He has also worked with the YMCA to organize elementary school camps to work with kids at the grass-roots level.

Adam Macciomei

Assistant Coach

Coach Adam Macciomei is a native of Davison, Mich. where he attended Davison High School and played three years varsity lacrosse before spending the last four seasons as a member of the Warriors’ men’s lacrosse team.

Macciomei was an All-Conference CCLA Face-Off specialist and an All-WHAC midfielder last season for Indiana Tech. Macciomei started 36 of his 62 games for the Warriors, scoring six goals, tallying seven assists and collecting 13 points. He also finished his career with a .570 win percentage on face-offs.

Macciomei graduated from Indiana Tech with a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Analysis and will be an assistant coach specializing in face-offs, defense and substitutions.

Brent Nichter

Assistant Coach

Coach Brent Nichter begins his first season as an Assistant Coach for the Warriors.

Nichter is a native of Fort Wayne, where he attended Bishop Luers High School and played four years varsity Lacrosse before spending the last four seasons as a member of the Warriors’ men’s lacrosse team.

Nichter was an All-American attackman and midfielder as well as an All-WHAC midfielder last season for Indiana Tech. Nichter scored 134 Goals and racked up over 190 points in four years.

Nichter is finishing up his MBA, and will be an assistant coach primarily focused on the offense.
