Men's Soccer Season Highlights
2009 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Champions

Congratulations to the men's soccer team for their accomplishments this season. To you, the recruit, we are looking for some top players to join us in 2010. Please complete our prospect form to express your interest.

  • Qualified for nationals as unseeded team; defeated #2 ranked UMFK 1-0.
  • Qualified for nationals at Fresno Pacific University in Fresno, CA. One of the final 16 teams in the nation. Defeated by national runner-up The Master's College 1-0.
  • 2009 All-Conference Awards (1st Team): Stu Thornton (Angola, IN), Mark Baptist (Rochford, Essex, UK), Josh Verhulst (Grand Rapids, MI)
  • 2009 All-Conference Awards (2nd Team): Mike Lewis (Allen Park, MI), Tom Pickersgill (Manchester, UK)
  • Eight members of the team WHAC All-Academic.
  • NAIA All-Scholar team (Varsity team average GPA: 3.4; 4th in nation).
  • 2009 All-Conference Awards (3rd Team): Elliott Everson (United Kingdom), Joe Ishraidi (Lansing, MI)
  • 2009 All-Regional Team: Stu Thornton (Angola, IN), Mark Baptist (Rochford, Essex, UK)
  • Four NAIA Academic All-Americans: Brandon Davis (Syracuse, IN), David Crowe (Kenton, OH), Joseph Ishraidi (Lansing, MI), Josh Verhulst
  • First-time to qualify for nationals since 1983.
  • Best results since 1983.
  • Coach Neuhoff, 2009 WHAC Coach of the Year and 2009 Regional Coach of the Year

On Tuesday, November 30th, the Indiana Tech Men’s Soccer concluded their 2009 season with a heartbreaking loss to The Master’s College (CA) in the second round of the NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship, 1-0.  The evenly matched teams had the match decided on a somewhat controversial penalty called late in the first half against the Warriors ... 

Elliot Everson scored in the 100th minute as unranked Indiana Tech shocked #2 Maine Fort Kent in the 2009 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship Opening Round Saturday afternoon in front of 750 fans in Fort Kent, Maine. The Warriors (13-6-3) will now advance to the round of 16 in Fresno, California while the UMFK men end their season at 17-1-1.
