Business Administration
(Education) B.S.
Indiana Tech has entered into collaboration with another private college in
Fort Wayne to give students the opportunity to earn teaching certification. By
following this program, students will be qualified to teach business subjects
at the secondary (grades 7-12) level. Students enrolled in the business
administration-education program will receive their degree from Indiana Tech,
with the teaching certification coming from the University of Saint Francis.
Students who pursue the education concentration will take nine core business
classes at Indiana Tech. An additional 18 general education and other support
courses will be taken on this campus. In addition, each student will take 13
education courses at the University of Saint Francis.
A benefit of completing this particular curriculum is the attainment of an
endorsement in special education (Mild Intervention). While pursuing this
special education endorsement is not mandatory, it is certainly an advantage in
seeking a teaching position.
Students who complete this program will be qualified to teach the following
subjects at the secondary level: accounting, business law, career development,
economics and personal finance, entrepreneurship, international business,
information systems, management, and marketing.
