Industrial Manufacturing Engineering B.S.
Program Description
An industrial and manufacturing engineering (IME) degree provides students with
the skills required to positively impact a company's bottom line. This is
accomplished through a study of those topics which directly contribute to the
efficiency and effectiveness of an organization's manufacturing operations,
such as simulation, lean manufacturing, quality management, automation, safety,
and environmental issues. This program prepares students for a common sense
approach to problem solving by combining both technical and managerial skills.
Career Opportunities
The IME education opens up three paths after graduation: industry, graduate
school in engineering, and/or graduate school in business. The bachelor's
degree prepares you for positions such as industrial engineer, quality
engineer, manufacturing engineer, or environmental health and safety engineer.
