BA 2410 Human Resource Management

Course Description: Human Resource Management presents a directed study of the main functions involved in the management of human resources. In addition, and intensive review of past and current legislation will be examined along with current practices and trends.

Textbook: Managing Human Resources; Jackson & Schuler. Thompson/Southwestern.

Prerequisite: BA 2010 Principles of Management

• Legal system and HRM · Human resource planning process
• Importance of a human resource information system (HRIS)

• Distinguish the generalist duties of all managers compared to the specific functions of an HR professional
