Each fall, the Career Center sponsors a “Graduate School Club” where students hear from experts in the field regarding the application process, testing, and selection for graduate programs. In addition, students are able to share their dreams, concerns, and resources with other students. Under the direction of the director of the Career Center, students meet weekly to receive information as they move through the process. Our staff are also available to meet individually with students to answer questions regarding application materials, including the personal statement and references.

The Career Center sponsors an exploratory program for students who are unsure of their career path. Both the director, Cindy Verduce, and the internship coordinator, Heather Burgette, serve as academic advisors to these students and move them through the process of exploring various careers, self-exploration and assessment, and personal goal setting. Students take a range of courses that are specifically designed to meet the requirements of numerous degree programs so that students utilize this time for career exploration while staying on track to graduate in four years.
