Recreation Management A.S.
The Associate of Science is designed for activity specialists and programmers.
Credits earned in the two-year program are fully applicable toward the Bachelor
of Science. The recreation professional is a diagnostician of needs and a
programmer and manager of physical, social, and cultural activities and
facilities. Recreation management prepares a student in academic course work
and practical experience to seek employment in a variety of management
settings. It also has been designed according to national recreation curricular
guidelines. This program is designed with flexibility to accommodate various
options and individual student interests. A broad, integrative base for a wide
range of vocational opportunities is provided through the program.
Students will take core courses, supplemented with field experiences, and
electives from prescribed areas.
