Criminal Justice, Crime Analysis B.S.
Program Description
The bachelor's degree program of 123 credits has a core of criminal justice
courses, but allows the student to specialize in either law enforcement
administration or crime analysis through a concentration of 12 additional
criminal justice courses. The crime analysis specialty was designed to meet the
growing need for people who are capable of analyzing crime and intelligence
data. The curriculum blends criminological theory with the use of computer
software and analytical techniques to explore methods of predicting,
preventing, and controlling crime.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the crime analysis program will be qualified to be either sworn law
enforcement personnel or civilian employees in a wide variety of agencies. They
will have the skills to gather, analyze, and disseminate date to solve criminal
justice problems.
