Recreation Mgmt (General) B.S.

The business of fun. Sound like an oxymoron? It's not. Humans need recreation. And the best recreation doesn't just happen. It's the result of coordination and management. That's what you'll learn in the recreation management program at Indiana Tech. As a recreation professional, you'll diagnose needs and manage physical, social, and cultural activities and facilities.

Recreation management prepares the individual for employment or graduate studies in leisure services and recreation. Recreation management prepares a student in academic course work and practical experience to seek employment in a variety of management settings. It also has been designed according to national recreation curricular guidelines. This program is designed with flexibility to accommodate various options and individual student interests. A broad, integrative base for a wide range of vocational opportunities is provided through the program. Students will take core courses, supplemented with field experiences, and electives from prescribed areas. Students will participate in a full-time internship in their final semester.
