University Offering Free Computer Workshop
Fort Wayne, Ind.—Indiana Tech’s College of Professional Studies will offer a free two-day workshop in Fort Wayne for adults interested in brushing up on their computer skills.
The free workshop covers basics of computer use such as how to access and navigate the Internet, how to use e-mail, and an introduction to basic applications such as word processing and spreadsheet software. The workshop is completely free, including books and materials.
“The goal of this workshop is to ease some of the anxiety people may feel when faced with using technology,” explained Steve Herendeen, vice president of the College of Professional Studies. “We first offered this workshop in Munster, along with college prep courses in math and English, and we received excellent feedback.”
The free workshop is open to anyone, based on space availability.
