Fake Craigslist Posts Target Job Hunters

Fort Wayne, Ind.--A Craigslist scam involving fake Indiana Tech job postings seems designed to gain access to personal information that could lead to identity theft.

The university learned of the scam on Monday when a would-be applicant contacted the director of human resources regarding a request for a credit report. Indiana Tech does not use Craigslist to advertise job openings, nor does it require applicants to provide printed credit reports.

Current Indiana Tech job openings are posted in the human resources section of our web site.
