Mash-Up Aims to Educate, Entertain

Fort Wayne, Ind.—The residence life staff at Indiana Tech will mix education and entertainment together for Monster Mash-up: Haunting Facts About Alcohol, an event for National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, students can visit the Andorfer Commons dining hall to take short quizzes about alcohol use and abuse. Depending on their answers, TAG Art Co. will then transform them into either zombies or princes and princesses using face paint and makeup. In the spirit of Fright Night, correct answers will be rewarded with zombie makeovers, while incorrect answers will unfortunately leave students looking like princes and princesses.

To put the zombie transformations to good use, students will be encouraged to take part in Fort Wayne’s Downtown Fright Night activities. The university will offer a shuttle service from Pierson Center on campus to a drop off point in front of the Hilton Hotel downtown. Shuttles will run from 3:30 p.m. to midnight, giving students ample time to enjoy activities such as the Zombie March, Ghost Hunting 101, K. Monique’s Psycho Dance Spectacular, and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic’s Halloween Spooktacular.
