Ret. Adm. Nash to Discuss Communication

David Nash, president of Dave Nash & Associates and a retired rear admiral in the U.S. Navy, will be the next speaker in Indiana Tech’s University Forum series. His presentation at 6:30 p.m. March 5 is titled “Crystal Clear: Leadership Communication Across a Sea of Media.”

Nash earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Indiana Tech in 1965. That degree laid the foundation for a 33-year career in the Civil Engineer Corps of the U.S. Navy. Since leaving the military, Nash has had a successful career in the private sector in program management, facility design, construction, logistics, and facility maintenance.

In his current role as president of his own consulting group, Nash has discovered that the workforce of today uses many different means of communication, such as social networking and blogs. His University Forum speech will talk about how management must adapt to a new style of non-linear communication and leadership.

The Indiana Tech University Forum speaker series features a special guest each semester. Previous University Forum speakers include Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Charlie Savage, founder and CEO of AIT Laboratories Dr. Michael Evans, former IU football coach Bill Mallory, the Rev. Rick Hawks, and technology and marketing executive Stewart Christ.
