Ohio Troopers Seeking Recruits at Career Fair

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Indiana Tech will host a recruitment fair for the Ohio State Highway Patrol on June 14 at the university’s Fort Wayne campus. The highway patrol will be hiring about 270 new troopers within the next year.
“This is probably the most significant law enforcement hiring we have seen in the Midwest in quite some time,” said Dr. Steven Hundersmarck, director of criminal science at Indiana Tech.
Two troopers from the Van Wert highway patrol post will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 14 in Andorfer Commons to discuss job openings, take applications, and interview candidates.
Applicants for positions with the Ohio State Highway Patrol must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be 20 to 34 years old
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Have a high school diploma or GED
“We would love to talk to anyone interested in a career in law enforcement,” said Sergeant Jonathon Gray, assistant post commander.
