Indiana Tech expanded into southern Indiana in August 2010 with the opening of an admissions office to assist students interested in online degree programs. The university is working toward adding classroom space. Until that space is available, Indiana Tech classes will meet at 6 p.m. Thursdays in the conference room of the Holiday Inn Express, 411 W. Spring St.
The College of Professional Studies offers undergraduate and graduate programs in an accelerated format. The program is designed to accommodate nontraditional students who also have to balance work, family, and community responsibilities. Classes meet one evening per week for five weeks. Books, which are included in the cost of tuition, are shipped to students prior to the first night of class.
The first Indiana Tech class to be offered in New Albany will be Introduction to College Writing beginning September 1. Future classes in the first year will include Software Tools, English Composition I, Foundations of Business, Principles of Management Foundations of College Mathematics, and Mathematical Problem-Solving.
