Fort Wayne, Ind.—Indiana Tech will welcome a group of faculty members from Taizhou Vocational and Technical College on Tuesday, Dec. 10, to establish an agreement for development of dual degree programs and a 3+2 program allowing Taizhou students to complete a bachelor’s degree at Indiana Tech.
Taizhou Vocational and Technical College has an enrollment of more than 15,000 students. It is located in Taizhou, China, which become one of Fort Wayne’s sister cities in May 2012. The college specializes in engineering disciplines and computer science and primarily offers associate degree programs, which are three-year degrees in China rather than the typical two-year degree offered in the United States.
“This agreement is a great opportunity for both our students and faculty and theirs to learn from each other and gain greater understanding of global cultures,” said Sarah Rodriquez, assistant director of international student admissions and orientation.
