Warriors Will Add Wrestling Team in 2011
Fort Wayne, Ind.—Indiana Tech will add wrestling to its growing lineup of intercollegiate athletic teams in the 2011-12 academic year.
The university plans to name a coach for the program within the next few weeks. Students interested in competing on Indiana Tech’s wrestling team can fill out a prospect form online at www.IndianaTech.edu/athletics/wrestling.
With the addition of wrestling, Indiana Tech will have 20 varsity sports teams (baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s bowling, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s track and field, women’s volleyball, and wrestling) as well as competitive cheer and dance teams.
Indiana Tech competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and is a member of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.
