How do I make an appointment for a college visit? When is the
best time to visit?
*You can simply call our Admissions Office at 1-800-937-2448 ext. 2205 or go
here to request a campus visit.
You can schedule a time that is convenient for you. We offer tours Monday
through Friday until 4:00pm and Saturday at 10:00am.

When is the earliest I can apply to your school?
*You can
apply to Indiana Tech during your Junior year, however we require 6
semesters or completion of your Junior year for acceptance.

If I call ahead, may I arrange appointments with advisors or professors in the
different academic areas?
*Yes, when you schedule your campus visit, let your counselor know that you are
interested in speaking with a professor in your major. We can even arrange for
you to sit in on a class if one is offered at the time of your visit.

Can freshmen have a car on campus?
*Yes, freshmen are allowed to bring a car on campus and park on campus too. You
will need to obtain a
parking permit and pay a small fee of $30 for the entire school year.

On what do you base freshmen admission?
*We require all freshmen to send an official high school transcript and SAT or
ACT test scores. We look at your GPA, class rank, class schedule, and test
scores for acceptance into our academic programs.

How are housing arrangements assigned to freshmen?
*We base
housing assignments in a few ways. If you are an athlete, you will be
paired with another athlete on your team. For those who are not athletes, you
will be paired according to major and common interests.

When do you register freshmen for classes? Is there a Freshmen Orientation? If
so, when?
*We have an early registration date in April, an overnight registration date in
June, and Freshmen Orientation before class starts. Freshmen Orientation is
scheduled for August 27, 2007. We can also arrange individual appointments
during the summer if necessary.

How important is it to take a math class as a senior in high school?
*It is very important, because all majors require at least 1 math course.

What kind of academic help can a student expect to find on your campus?
*At Indiana Tech, we provide you with tutors through our
Support Services upon request. For more information on Student Support

What does your school do to help one find the best major for him or her?
*We offer an Exploratory Tract degree where students can take a variety of
classes in different majors to find out what they are most interested in.
You can also take assessment through our CPDC to determine
what major would best suit you based on your interests.

Does your school have programs for students with learning disabilities?
*Yes, Student Support Services works with all students on an individual basis
to meet their needs.

Is there an application deadline for Indiana Tech?
*No, Indiana Tech does not have an application deadline. However, students are
encouraged to
apply early.

Do I have to live on campus?
*We require all freshmen and sophomores, who live outside of a 50 mile radius
of the campus, to reside in our Pierson residential facility. If you would like

What are the admissions requirements for Indiana Tech?
*We require all freshmen applicants, to complete an application, send in your
official High School Transcript, and provide either ACT or SAT test scores.
Transfer applicants also need to complete an application, send in official High
School Transcript, provide ACT or SAT scores, but also must provide an official
transcript from every Institution attended.
