Home Schooled Students
Indiana Tech welcomes home schooled students as applicants for admission. Home
schooled students are evaluated for admission to the university on the same
basis as students from public and other private schools.
Each applicant for admission is evaluated carefully on an individual basis,
taking into account indicators of ability to succeed at Indiana Tech. The most
important factors we consider are curriculum and performance in academic course
work. Standardized test scores are weighed in relation to a student's
curriculum and academic performance.
There are many unique opportunities at Indiana Tech that set us apart from other
universities. Our powerful resources paired with our personal approach to
learning offer everything you need to succeed. Raise Your Expectations!
Personal Learning
We understand that home schooled students have been taught, challenged, and
guided by someone whose dedication is equaled only by students' desire to
learn. We try to continue that experience by introducing students to a small
classroom setting - our average class size is 18-20 students. All of our
courses are taught by faculty, no Grad-assistants. This allows for our
relationship-based education for which Indiana Tech is known.

Standardized Test Scores
Students must submit scores from either the ACT or the SAT. These test scores
are weighed in relation to a student's curriculum and grades in academic
subjects, and are used to identify particular strengths and weaknesses in a
student's preparation for college.
