Criminal Science – Criminal Justice Administration, Bachelor of Science
Crime fighting requires hard work by well-trained individuals — from the police officers on the street to the highest ranks of law enforcement and everyone in between. Pursuing a degree in criminal justice at Indiana Tech will give you the knowledge and background you need to achieve your dream of making our neighborhoods, our cities, and our worldsafer.
Core classes provide an overview of the criminal justice system, a basic understanding of criminological theories, a more detailed understanding of substantive and procedural law, and a detailed exploration of all of the components of criminal justice — the police, the courts, and the corrections systems.
The criminal justice administration specialization examines the management and operation of police organizations. This will allow an entry level police officer to enter a police organization with a broader understanding of the rationale for decision-making and operations within the organization. This base of knowledge will enable the Indiana Tech graduate to achieve higher rank within the police organization.
