Criminal Science – Rehabilitative Services, Bachelor of Science
Crime fighting requires hard work by well-trained individuals — from the police officers on the street to the highest ranks of law enforcement and everyone in between. Pursuing a degree in criminal justice at Indiana Tech will give you the knowledge and background you need to achieve your dream of making our neighborhoods, our cities, and our world safer.
Core classes provide an overview of the criminal justice system, a basic understanding of criminological theories, a more detailed understanding of substantive and procedural law, and a detailed exploration of all of the components of criminal justice — the police, the courts, and the corrections systems.
The rehabilitative services specialty is designed to meet the needs of individuals who wish to work in the field of juvenile and adult probation, parole, and aftercare services. This is a growing field in which care is focused on assessing and rehabilitating individuals who have been convicted of a criminal offense or are at risk of committing a criminal offense.
