Criminal Science – Crime Analysis, Bachelor of Science
Crime fighting requires hard work by well-trained individuals — from the police officers on the street to the highest ranks of law enforcement and everyone in between. Pursuing a degree in criminal justice at Indiana Tech will give you the knowledge and background you need to achieve your dream of making our neighborhoods, our cities, and our world safer.
Core classes provide an overview of the criminal justice system, a basic understanding of criminological theories, a more detailed understanding of substantive and procedural law, and a detailed exploration of all of the components of criminal justice — the police, the courts, and the corrections systems.
The crime analysis specialization blends an understanding of criminological theory, the use of computer software, and the application of analytical techniques to provide key criminal justice stakeholders with information that will enable them to develop strategies to control crime. This expertise will allow Indiana Tech graduates to pursue careers in crime analysis as either sworn or civilian personnel.
