Accounting, A.S.
Smart money management is crucial to a successful business. Accountants must ensure that businesses earn and spend money responsibly and ethically amid a complicated web of federal regulations and procedures. For those who love numbers, this is a welcome challenge. Indiana Tech’s accounting program will refine your problem solving skills and develop your understanding for the ethical and professional standards of modern accounting.
Program Description
Indiana Tech’s accounting courses involve careful analysis of case studies. Class work goes beyond studying accounting principles in textbooks and learning software applications. The accounting theory you will explore is applied to real-life situations and business models. A hallmark of all programs at Indiana Tech is our relationship-based education philosophy. Our programs feature a high level of student-professor interaction. Since our faculty are professionals who with real-world experience, they create an environment that develops the practical experience and the skills you’ll need to participate in the world’s fast-paced business environment.
The Next Step
If you decide to continue your education, the associate degree curriculum leads directly into the bachelor’s degree programs. Alternatively, if you choose to start working right away, you can still earn a bachelor’s or master’s degree though our College of Professional Studies. These accelerated programs feature classes in the evening, so you can work full-time while earning your degree. Credits from Tech’s traditional associate degree programs transfer to programs in the College of Professional Studies.
