Business Administration, B.S.
Our business administration programs are based on a philosophy of total student development. The programs stress an interdisciplinary approach that will expose you to all aspects of the complex and changing business environment. The faculty emphasize the social, ethical, cultural, and political issues that managers must face on a daily basis.
Human Resources Concentration
The human resources (HR) concentration is ideal for business professionals who love working with people. Effective HR professionals keep their hands on the pulse of their company’s work force, enabling them to understand what’s needed to keep the staff motivated and efficient. Additionally, HR professionals help fellow employees find the most effective retirement and health care packages for their needs. They also work with administrators to interview new employees and negotiate salaries and benefits.
Through the human resources concentration curriculum, you will learn the art of working with people and giving them the tools they need to be successful. The program also covers human resources responsibilities like occupational health and safety, conflict resolution, labor relations, and training and development. If you enjoy working with people, a concentration in human resources can lead to a very satisfying career.
