Momentum: Accelerating Excellence

Business Administration-Marketing, B.S.

Our business administration programs are based on a philosophy of total student development. The curricula stress an interdisciplinary approach that will expose you to all aspects of the complex and changing business environment. The faculty emphasize the social, ethical, cultural, and political issues that managers must face on a daily basis.

Marketing Concentration

Simply put, marketing is all about problem solving. The problem? Companies around the world have goods and services to sell, and they need to figure out how to get them in the hands of consumers. That’s where marketing professionals come in. They find the solution and take the guess work out of promoting and distributing products.

Indiana Tech’s marketing concentration will teach you how to research market trends, analyze demographic data, and find ways to effectively promote goods and services to consumers. The program also gives you a practical foundation in business administration to help you understand what it takes to make a business profitable. Like all of our programs, the marketing concentration is intensely practical. You’ll be taught to apply the major components of marketing—including research, advertising, sales, and e-commerce—on the regional, national, and global levels.

Career Opportunities

Businesses need clever marketers to promote their products. After all, the best invention in the world is pointless if you can’t communicate it to your consumers. The marketing concentration can lead to careers in:

  • advertising
  • sales
  • product development
  • public relations
  • research
  • writing
  • leading an in-house marketing
  • team or department
  • working for a marketing agency
