Scholarships
Indiana Tech offers a wide variety of scholarships, many of which have been established by our generous alumni. Most of them require no additional application forms -- just apply for admission and file your Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Our financial aid office can give you a full list of Indiana Tech scholarships, but here are two that you should definitely know about.
Dean's Scholarships
Four years, full tuition
The Dean's Scholarships are the most coveted of Indiana Tech's scholarships. Full tuition for four years -- that shows you how committed we are to seeking bright young minds to join us on our quest for academic excellence. The scholarships are awarded to two students in each of the following areas: College of Business, College of Engineering, College of General Studies, and School of Computer Studies.
Requirements
For incoming freshmen:
- 3.5 GPA
- 1200 SAT (combined math and critical reading) or 26 ACT composite
- Acceptance to Indiana Tech
For transfer students:
- All of the above requirements
- A 3.0 GPA at your previous college

Engineering Scholarship
The Indiana Tech Engineering Scholarship awards up to $10,000 in scholarships every year. This scholarship is open to students pursuing a bachelor's degree with engineering majors.
Requirements
For incoming freshmen:
- 3.0 GPA
- 1100 SAT (combined math and critical reading) or 24 ACT composite
- Acceptance to Indiana Tech
For transfer students:
- All of the above requirements
- 2.4 GPA at your previous college

Computer Science and Computer Engineering Degrees - Undergraduate Academic Award
A $1,000 academic award given to a student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Areas of study that will be considered include computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, database management, computer networking, computer programming and information technology management. Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Degrees - Undergraduate Academic Award
A $500 academic award given to a student pursuing any associate or bachelor degree program emphasizing Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement. Areas of study that will be considered include criminal justice, law enforcement, homeland security, sociology with law/criminal emphasis, corrections, computer forensics, and forensic psychology, among others. Liberal Arts and General Studies Degrees - Undergraduate Academic Award
A $500 academic award given to a student pursuing an associate or bachelor degree program emphasizing Liberal Arts, General Studies, or Humanities. More information
Hispanic College Fund Scholarship Program
Applications are currently available for multiple scholarships under the Hispanic College Fund Scholarship Program. Applicants for these scholarships must: be Hispanic, maintain a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident, currently reside in the U.S. or Puerto Rico, be a current or rising undergraduate attending a college or university in the fall in either the U.S. or Puerto Rico, and demonstrate financial need. The Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund
The Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund was created in response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The scholarship program is open to children of those who were killed or permanently disabled as a result of the terrorist attacks, and who are enrolled as full-time undergraduates at approved, accredited institutions. Scholarship awards of up to $2,500 per applicant, per school year, are available and may be renewed on an annual basis, subject to satisfactory academic progress. Sallie Mae Fund
The Sallie Mae Fund continues its effort and committment to higher education access by offering more than $2 million in college scholarships to low-income and minority students. Applications are available at www.thesalliemaefund.org
Dollars for Scholars
Indiana Tech is a Collegiate Partner of Scholarship America and the Dollars for Scholars family of community scholarship foundations. Indiana Tech has agreed that Dollars for Scholars awards of up to $2,500 per student will not adversely affect scholarship funding provided by Indiana Tech.
Indiana Tech has committed to matching Dollars for Scholars awards of up to $1,000 per student provided that the student has financial need.
2010-2011 IndySHRM Scholarship
In order to encourage and support students pursuing a career in the human resource management field, IndySHRM is going to award one annual scholarship in the amount of $2,500 for the 2010-2011 academic year. To be eligible for the scholarship, an individual must:
Be a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior in an undergraduate four-year degree program to actively pursue or continue a career in human resources upon graduation and currently attending one of the following central Indiana colleges or universities: IUPUI, Butler University, Marian College, University of Indianapolis, Martin University, Franklin College, Indiana Tech, Indiana University - Bloomington, Purdue University - Lafayette.
If awarded, recipient must become a member and be in good standing as a student or professional member of IndySHRM (as specified in Scholarship Acceptance Agreement)
Have a 2.5/4.0 cumulative grade point average
Be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits per semesterApplications are available in the Financial Aid Office.
