Momentum: Accelerating Excellence

Make Tech Your New Home

Our small size and commitment to relationship-based education can be an ideal setting for students who have been home schooled. You'll receive personal attention from faculty and staff who care about your success in college and in a career after graduation.

Home schooled students are evaluated for admission to the university on the same basis as students from public and other private schools. Each applicant is evaluated carefully on an individual basis, taking into account indicators of ability to succeed at Indiana Tech. The most important factors we consider are curriculum and performance in academic course work. Standardized test scores are weighed in relation to a student's curriculum and academic performance.

To apply, simply follow the steps on the How to Apply page. A couple of things to note:

Transcripts

Transcripts for home schooled students must include:

  • An explanation of the grading scale
  • Graduation Date
  • Cumulative GPA
  • Students Home Schooled in the State of Indiana will need to submit a notarized signature of the Home School Administrator
  • Students NOT Home Schooled in the State of Indiana will need to submit a notarized signature of the Home School Administrator with the registered organization number

Standardized Tests

Students must submit scores from either the ACT or the SAT. These test scores are weighed in relation to a student's curriculum and grades in academic subjects, and are used to identify particular strengths and weaknesses in a student's preparation for college.
